The instantaneous net ecosystem exchange (NEE) of CO2 is shown as colors projected onto the land surface from a C-LAMP simulation during July 2004. Green represents an uptake by the biosphere (negative NEE) while red represented a net flux into the atmosphere (positive NEE). Click to view larger image.
